Elizabeth G. Weingast, RN MSN, GNP, is the Vice President of Clinical Excellence for The New Jewish Home where she is responsible for clinical and organizational quality goals, including oversight of resident/patient care, safety, clinical outcomes, satisfaction and staff development.
Elizabeth joined The New Jewish Home in 1997 as a Gerontological Nurse Practitioner at the Manhattan Division, and subsequently served as the Associate Director of Nursing at the Sarah Neuman Center.She became the Director of Clinical Excellence in 2008 and was appointed Vice President in 2012.Prior to joining The New Jewish Home she was affiliated with New York University Medical Center as a Case Manager and as a Staff Nurse in the general medicine and intensive care units, and as Adjunct Instructor at NYU’s College of Nursing.
Liz earned her B.S. in Nursing from the University of Rochester, her M.S. in Nursing with a specialty in critical care from Columbia University, and holds an Advanced Certificate in advanced practice nursing care of the elderly from New York University.
