Gabrielle Genauer joined The New Jewish Home in 2016 as the Vice President and General Counsel. As the organization’s chief legal officer, she is responsible for all legal affairs and compliance across The New Jewish Home System.
Prior to joining The New Jewish Home, Gabrielle spent approximately nine years working as an associate with the law firm of Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP where she represented and advised clients on a variety of issues including litigation strategy, risk management, contract disputes, employment matters, corporate governance and compliance. She began her career in the nonprofit sector, directing a shelter for domestic violence victims.
Gabrielle earned a B.S. from Cornell University, where she majored in Human Development and Family Studies. She went on to earn a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, as well as a Certificate of Non-Profit Administration from UPenn’s Fels Institute of Government.
